Dr. Ronald R Krueger, MD, MSE

Ophthalmic Surgeon (board certified)

Dr. Ronald R. Krueger is the Chair of the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Director of the Truhlsen Eye Institute in Omaha Nebraska. Prior to his medical studies, Krueger was trained as an electrical and biomedical engineer; he was also the Director of Refractive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic for 20 years.

Dr. Susana Marcos is the Director of the Center for Visual Science, Nicholas Professor of Optics at the Institute of Optics and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Flaum Eye Institute at University of Rochester, New York and N. She is former Director at the Instituto de Optica (CSIC, Spain) where she leads the Visual Optics and Biophotonics Lab. Dr. Marcos earned her Bachelor and PhD degrees in Physics at the University of Salamanca, Spain and was a postdoctoral fellow for three years at Harvard University (Schepens Eye Research Institute, Department of Ophthalmology). She has won numerous prestigious international awards, is co author of >200 papers and co-inventor of 24 patents.

Barbara Fant, PharmD is the President of Clinical Research Consultants, Inc. (CRC), and has 35+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory and clinical affairs. Dr. Fant is internationally recognized as an expert provider of FDA regulatory and clinical services for the development and approval of corneal, refractive, intraocular, and other ophthalmic medical devices, software driven diagnostic and therapeutic devices, and in vitro diagnostic devices. Dr. Fant is also a three-time nominee for the prestigious Prix Galien Award for Best Medical Technology.

Dr. Fant holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Cincinnati.
